Kepler Vision partners with Schuberg Philis to enhance its AI care for the elderly.

  • New partnership guarantees 100% up-time for Kepler Vision’s software
  • AI powered computer vision technology enables business to scale internationally

London, 10th November 2020Kepler Vision Technologies – a global leader in the development of vision-based human activity recognition software – today announced a partnership with IT outsourcing company Schuberg Philis which will see the company provide guaranteed 100% uptime for Kepler Vision’s Night Nurse software

Kepler Vision’s Night Nurse (KNN) solution is a computer vision – based body language detection system. By combining machine learning and computer vision, KNN is able to detect falls, patient discomfort and abnormal behaviour, notifying care staff so they can respond. This new technology outperforms motion sensors, bed mats, and wearable monitoring systems by a factor of 1,000 in cutting down on false alarms, and the unnecessary strain they place on care staff.

Kepler Vision’s partnership with Schuberg Philis means that its software is guaranteed to function 100% of the time, meaning that no patient is ever left in need of assistance.  Connecting 1,000s of new video streams of patient monitoring within a single day, Schuberg Philis will enable Kepler to scale up its business in both The Netherlands and internationally, and brings with it extensive experience of scaling services in privacy sensitive environments to ensure privacy and integrity.

Dr Harro Stokman, CEO and founder of Kepler Vision said: “After evaluating a series of managed services providers, it became apparent that Schuberg Philis is the only provider guaranteeing 100% uptime of mission critical applications, which is crucial for ensuring patient safety at care facilities using the Kepler Night Nurse solution. This partnership will enable us to scale quickly at a time when protecting elderly patients and relieving pressure on care staff has never been more important.”

“The collaboration between Kepler and Schuberg Philis is a true alignment of strengths.  Schuberg Philis will provide night rest for the Night Nurse. As Kepler can focus on its groundbreaking technology, Schuberg Philis will provide a smooth operation, safe, compliant and secure.” Ilja Heitlager, CIO, Schuberg Philis

This partnership follows the news that Kepler Vision’s Night Nurse software has been officially registered as a medical device in compliance with European Law and marks an important step in Kepler Vision’s ongoing innovation in the field of elderly care.
