Fares Alnajar member of the Doctoral Committee at PhD defense by Fernando Cuadros

Dr. Fares Alnajar (most right), Senior R&D Engineer of Kepler Vision Technologies, was a member of the Doctoral Committee at the PhD defense of candidate Fernando Manuel Espinoza Cuadros (third from the left) from the School of Telecommunications Engineering of Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. The candidate’s thesis focused on the detection of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) syndrome that is based on speaking styles and facial characteristics. It relies on the fact that craniofacial abnormalities and an altered upper airway may have an impact on both speech production and facial features of OSA patient.

Dr. Alnajar is an expert on human behavior and face analysis. He was invited to evaluate the thesis and public defense of the PhD candidate. The candidate defended his doctoral thesis successfully.
